Staying Busy...

Look at me staying on top of this blog thang for a change. Man I'm tired but loving having too many things going on at one time.

I've been invited to help coordinate the 2009 "I Got Soul" Conference & the 6th Annual DeSoto Hip Hop Summit - I'm bringing my Grammy affiliation to help boost the education & public presence of both events.

Looks like my travel plans are filling up - Feb (Grammy Awards & Twista's Official After Party (Los Angeles,Ca), Grammy Chapter Office (Austin,TX)), March (19th Annual Urban Network Music-Entertainment & Marketing Summit (Industry Hills,CA)), April (Grammy U Summit (Austin, TX), May (One Stop Shop - Producers Conference (Phoenix,AZ)) & July (Katt Williams Celebrity Basketball Game (USC - Los Angeles,CA)). I'm expecting a few more events to pop up in between these dates - WHY IS CALIFORNIA LIKE MY TOP TRAVEL PLACE RIGHT NOW. Big ups to Hunnid Racks for putting me on to these events - that's what a great sponsor is supposed to do folks.

Just keeping ya'll up-to-date on things.................wait MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT NEXT.

Austin TX - Recording Academy TX Chapter Open House

So I was in the state capitol last night for the Recording Academy's open house. It was a great mixer where I had the chance to meet & take a picture with the legendary Pinetop Perkins, T-Byrd Gordon, entertainment attorney Catherine Tabor, Exec Director of the Texas Chapter - Theresa Jenkins, Chapter President - Carlos Sosa, Christee Albino (Chapter Assistant), 2-U-Neek from Los Angeles, Mark Somgynari (thanks for the info on sponsorships), DJ Solo and others.

The Exec Director gave me the ok to spearhead bringing the Academy programs and events such as GrammyU & Grammy In The Schools into the Dallas area. I will be working with her to set-up programs to educate artists and to provide better networking opportunites. A 2 1/2 hour drive and I came back with a potential new place to record, opp to produce for a group working with Disney, opp to be a pioneer in music business education, event planner and loads of other opps.

There are so many more things on the horizon for myself and my music endeavors so stay tuned. Pics will be available soon. Holla.

2009 - Is Coming

Another year is coming to an end as a new one is approaching. I'll make a post of all my accomplishments for 2008 in Dec but right now I'm more focused on the major things either in planning or already confirmed for 2009. In Jan I will begin working with the Recording Academy to bring "Grammy in the Schools" to Dallas as well as other Academy-sponsored events, I will be attending the 2009 NAMM Show in Anaheim CA, the Grammy Awards in Feb, releasing both long-overdue albums from myself and Madame Ice and moving closer to my ultimate goals. Over the last few months I've made key connections that will propel me to positions I've never imagined. Becoming a Voting Member of the Academy has opened up alot of connections I would have normally not been accessible to and the information I'm getting has been great.

This year has been progressive and look forward to next year being rewarding. Ok, enough rambling back to work.

I'm back on it ......for real

Just wanted to give an update on the Lil KeKe show next week, got some surprises on some up-coming shows & Grammy Events. Speaking of the Grammys I've recently been talking with the Executive Director at the Texas Chapter about me spearheading some educational events here in Dallas so get ready to "Learn or Die". Been having some very thought-provoking & informational conversations with Myk Willis (CEO of Myxer.com - the ringtone company), Erv Karwelis (Owner of Idol Records - the label that signed P.P.T.) & Tamera Bennett (entertainment attorney & owner of publishing admin Farm-To-Music). Gearing up to release a theme song for a professional athletic team (to be announced very soon) and ready to roll-out the 1st wave of the marketing for both albums.

Right now I'm good. Catch ya on the next post.
